Maybe I shouldn't say this, but this has been the best weekend I have had in a long time. I know you are all anxiously wondering why so I will not keep you waiting. Friday night, we stayed home and watched a movie on Netflix in our PJ's. Do I have any idea what the movie was? Absolutely not- but that doesn't matter. Madgette and I cuddled on the couch and did nothing.
Saturday we talked about getting up and going to some garage sales. Instead I woke to the smell of fresh blueberry muffins my hubby had kindly made. After we ate breakfast he went out to work on his boat, and I went back to bed and read for a couple hours sometime during that taking a nap. That is pretty much how my entire day went-- read a little, took a nap, read a little more, took another nap. Madgette must have known I needed the rest so she stayed pretty low key. Madgette and I stayed in our PJ's all day long!!!
Today we got up and went to church then out to eat lunch at our favorite Italian place. We then came home to reclaim our disaster of a living room which we were able to do rather quickly. The rest of the afternoon has been spent reading, playing games as a family, and watching a little TV while the laundry washes.
Life has been so busy lately with school starting for all of us, and a very fast trip to Arkansas we all needed a little down time. I am also reading a series of books that are extremely inspiring even though they do not seem they would be. I am in book 3 of the series and cannot seem to put them down. (Thank goodness for the Kindle on the I-Phone)
I hope that the restful feeling that I currently have can carry me through the next few months as I know our schedule is just getting more and more packed. The Queen B Designs schedule is about to get kicked off in October and will consume almost every weekend until Christmas. That is a good thing, but very tiring.
