Well, I will give you a guess as to what our family will be doing this weekend.
It seems to be a growing weekend trend for our family. We will be out of town for a softball tournament. Last weekend there were 10 teams in our bracket and we came in third. This weekend there are 6 teams in our bracket and we have high hopes of coming in 1st. Madgette is not being consistent on her batting, so we are planning to head to the batting cages here in a few minutes once we finish dinner. Last weekend she hit one single and one triple, but Tuesday at practice she didn't hit even one pitch. Thursday night she hit 2 well past the pitcher. Anyone have ideas to help with getting her hitting consistently?
Softball will take up both Saturday and Sunday, so we are hoping to take the girls on Monday down to the beach in Galveston. Julie has never seen the beach in America, and none of us have been there since the hurricane so I am looking forward to seeing how much they have recovered. We were planning to have a little BBQ on Monday for Julie but that has been nixed- (note to self- call MP and tell her it's cancelled)
Oh, I forgot to mention that the Razorback hurt his foot Tuesday night at softball practice. He is making it ok, but he is not following the doctor's orders. Of course, we really don't have time to follow the doctor's orders- I am keeping him contained as much as I can, but our crazy schedule requires him to help.
I hope everyone has a great and relaxing 3 day weekend. I know we will! Then we only have four more days of school. Two whole days and two half days. Woo-hoo!!!

galveston is alright. it's not like on the news anymore since most of the ruined houses have been demolished and grass is growing back.
it's going to be a busy weekend, but if you take the ferry across, the third or fourth street after that has beach access (on the right) and it's never crowed. usually just a handful of people.
