People come into our lives for a reason. The older couple that we bought our home from are one of those sets of people. The woman from the couple has gained a special place in all of our hearts- she is amazing. She and the love of her life (her first husband) were married for many years and were unable to have children. A few years back, he got ill and passed away. You can tell that she is still in love with him every time she talks about him. I believe she misses him every day.
Since then she has been remarried and divorced and according to her will remain single. Since she has no kids to help her out around her house, or to check in on her, we have taken on this role. It is a joy to go by and talk with her, and she spoils Madgette to death! Madgette loves her with all of her heart- she even wrote her a note this evening telling her so.
The Razorback has agreed to take on a couple of home repair/improvement projects for the summer when he is not coaching ball or in class. I am proud of him, and Madgette will enjoy getting to spend some time with her favorite local lady!
